Although we may be on the brink of change, one of the few officially sanctioned (State Dept.) ways for a U.S. citizen to visit Cuba is through a “people to people” visit. A small group of photographers were granted this opportunity and member Stephen Cunliffe brings us images and encounters he had with the people of this populous insular nation.
As of 2013 Cuba has 9 sites on the UNESCO World Heritage list, 7 cultural and 2 of them natural. Cunliffe visits two of the cultural sites, Havana City and Trinidad, along with a trip to an agricultural area, Vinales, and presents a photographic essay on life in today’s Cuba.
